Whitney met President Obama today. It was a very confidential event that we couldn't talk about until after it was over. (we ony told a few trusted friends. I debated what to put her in, that might get her some extra attention. I was going to go for a supercute look, but then i heard another parent mention an Old Navy Flag shirt and I knew I could do better than that. So I was up till 11pm hand sewing this patriotic ribbon onto a Grandma Couture jumper.

LOVE MY LIL DEMOCRAT!!!

The parents were not allowed to come, only the kids and teachers and it was a highly secure event. It took me 25 minutes to get through the security, body scanners, secret service and bomb squad dogs, just to drop her off in the morning. It was quite an experience!
The teachers said that Obama went directly to her (she was the first child/baby he spoke to). He shook her baby hand and told her she was most patriotic young citizen. The teachers said that Whitney smiled at him and then tucked her head away, being shy.
Here is a picture of the him reading a story in the preschool class. (pic is from my TV)

These are Whitney's baby friends, but sadly she is not in this picture. This pic is posted on whitehouse.gov. We are awaiting pics from the traveling White House Press Secretary photographer, he was the only one allowed to have a camera.
